Dinner on the Bridge presenting sponsors announced for September event

    The District: Czech Village & New Bohemia has announced Anderson-Bogert and the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, GreatAmerica Financial Services Corporation Donor-Advised Fund, as presenting sponsors for the 2025 Dinner on the Bridge.

    The annual fundraising event is scheduled for Sept. 11 on the 16th Avenue Bridge of Lions. The evening will feature food and beverage vendors from The District, including Crosby’s, Cafe Tacuba, The Full Bowl and Up in Smoke.

    A karaoke after-party will follow at The Ideal Theater & Bar.

    “Fundraising events like Dinner on the Bridge are possible with the support of generous sponsors,” said Jennifer Borcherding, executive director of The District. “We are grateful to all our sponsors. People who support The District support the success of small, local businesses, neighborhood building and the economic vitality of Cedar Rapids. Investing in each other truly shows who we are as a community.”

    Jeff Morrow, professional engineer at Anderson-Bogert and past president of The District board of directors, said the company is committed to the event’s goals.

    “We believe strongly in the mission of The District and the community-building power an event like Dinner on the Bridge has,” he said. “Anderson-Bogert is proud to support this event and we look forward to a continued partnership. Great things are happening in The District.”

    The 21-and-older event will run from 5 to 8 p.m., beginning with a cocktail and appetizer hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner service at 6:30 p.m. Live music will be featured throughout the evening.
