Veridian Credit Union has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions for 2024. The credit union received five stars on a five-star scale.

The list is based on an analysis of 9,440 financial institutions across the United States to identify the best 250 regional banks and 250 credit unions. To keep the focus on regional financial institutions, only institutions operating in less than 15 states were considered.

Conducted with Plant-A Insights Group, the study considered 35,000 customer interviews and more than 149 million online reviews. It also heavily weights factors indicating each institution’s financial health, operational performance and metrics indicating long-term stability.

Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its 333,000 members.
