UnityPoint Hospice distributing memory kits for teens and children

UnityPoint Hospice is inviting the community to pick up a Camp Embracing Memories winter camp kit, which is designed to help young people work through the grief process.

Supplies include everything needed for the child/teen and family to engage in the activities. Included options will be based on participants ages:

  • A teen camp kit for those ages 13 and older
  • A child camp kit for those 12 years of age and younger

Some activities include memory ornaments, worry jars, family memory books, bubble drawing, mindfulness activities and rock painting. Adults are encouraged to do these activities with their children/teens. Conversation starters also are included.

Kits can be picked up from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Dec. 13-17 at UnityPoint Hospice, 290 Blairs Ferry Rd, Suite 100, Cedar Rapids
