UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids president Casey Greene has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2024 “160 Community Hospital CEOs to know” list.
According to Becker’s, community hospital CEOs are responsible for delivering coordinated and affordable care to local patients. Top community hospital executives ensure that patients can access not only acute care but also primary care, rehabilitation, public health services and other resources.
The list honors CEOs for their dedication to improving community health.
Leaders featured on Becker’s list shape positive workforce culture, plan for the future, broaden hospital offerings and sustain financial wellness for their community hospitals, according to Becker’s Hospital Review.
Mr. Greene has served in his current role as president of UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids since August 2023. He oversees the operations of St. Luke’s Hospital and various clinics and care facilities.
Joining the organization in 2019 as vice president and COO, Mr. Greene has helped guide the hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic, recovery from the derecho and national staffing challenges. He also chaired a systemwide committee on workplace violence prevention and has over 20 years of experience in operational leadership.
Mr. Greene also remains actively involved in the community, serving on numerous non-profit boards and committees in Eastern Iowa.
