About
On July 26, 2004, Corridor Business Journal published its first edition with a simple mission: to provide local and regional business news and information to business and community leaders in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor. Twenty years later, that mission remains unchanged — even as we’ve grown, evolved, and expanded.
What began as a startup in a basement has grown into a sustainable publication that serves the region — but we’ve maintained our startup ethos, constantly innovating and adapting to the evolving media landscape.
The CBJ is independently owned by John and Aspen Lohman — not part of a chain, but part of this community. We’re supported by a talented team of media professionals, including journalists, designers, sales professionals, and event managers.
