UI children’s hospital ranked in 5 specialties in report

University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital is listed among the nation’s best in five specialties in the new 2020-21 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings published online this week by U.S. News & World Report, a recognized authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice.

 UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital ranked in the following areas:

• 32 in neonatology
• 37 in pediatric orthopedics
• 38 in pediatric diabetes and endocrinology
• 42 in pediatric nephrology
• 49 in pediatric neurology and neurosurgery

“We are proud to continue our long-standing tradition of being ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals,” Pamela Johnson-Carlson, chief administrative officer of UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, stated in a press release. “It’s a badge of honor for our care team and truly highlights their dedication to providing top-quality care and support to the patients and families that come here.”
