Despite the pandemic, TrueNorth’s affiliate First MainStreet Insurance (FMSI) continues to expand. The team announces the addition of three firms to their family of agencies.

The TrueNorth Nashville branch has transitioned to the FMSI platform. In addition, and out of the Nashville area, FMSI acquired a book of business from Hylant Group. Moving under one roof in Brentwood, Tennessee, these two teams of benefit specialists will combine their expertise and resources to expand the FMSI employee benefit practice footprint in the Nashville market.

FMSI acquired Sisson and Associates of Charles City, a family-run firm. The agency has roots in the insurance industry dating back to the 1940s and took over the Sisson & Associates name in 1997. For years now, Tom Sisson and Bob Ingram have leveraged their partnership to attract a healthy book of business.

FMSI has also acquired the assets of Core-Vens Insurance. Headquartered in Clinton, Core-Vens Insurance has served the community since 1963. The agency has been family-owned and operated for more than 50 years – first by Bill Core and Ray Vens, followed by Chris and Randy Vens since the early 1990s. FMSI acquired Gamrath Doyle-Vens Insurance (GDV) in 2019. Mike Vens was a partner at GDV and a sibling to Chris and Randy Vens. Core-Vens Insurance also has a secondary location in Davenport, and all 17 employees from both locations will join the FMSI platform.

First MainStreet Insurance is an affiliate of TrueNorth Companies. Led by many TrueNorth senior leaders, the FMSI model focuses on smaller agencies to perpetuate their business while maintaining a local presence and legacy within their communities.

In addition to these new acquisitions, FMSI currently holds locations in the following Iowa towns: Bettendorf, Bloomfield, Centerville, Fairfield, Indianola, Iowa Falls, Mason City, Mount Pleasant, Moville, Ottumwa, Pella and Perry. CBJ
