The Palms Theatres, IMAX and Family Entertainment Center is set to be the latest addition to the ambitious $275 million Park Place development in Tiffin.

The complex will feature arcade games, a bowling center, restaurant and bar, according to a press release.

Fridley Theatres, based in Des Moines and founded in 1974, says the IMAX screens will be 70 feet tall and 90 feet wide and makes Tiffin the “entertainment hub for the entire I-380 Corridor,” according to a video posted on Facebook.

Park Place spans more than 450 acres and consists of single-family residential homes, mixed-use developments, multifamily buildings, and junior box and big box commercial spaces. It will include a Speedy Mike’s Car Wash, iGym, Farmers State Bank, Casa Tequila restaurant, 380 Nails and a TopTracer golf driving range.

Toptracer, a subsidiary of Topgolf, will have 52 covered and heated bays connected to a nearly 40,000 square-foot full-service bar.

“The TopTracer project is still taking place,” Alex Andersen, CEO of The Ders Group, told the CBJ in an email. A groundbreaking announcement for the golf facility is to be announced soon.

A strip center with drive through space is still available to be leased.
