‘That’s not the way a board should work’: initial tuition hike proposal excluded some regents

    A proposed tuition hike for Iowa’s public universities could tack several hundred dollars to instate undergraduates’ cost for the 2026-2027 academic year.

    University officials requested a 3% tuition increase during the Iowa Board of Regents’ meeting Feb. 26, emphasizing the need to maintain education quality, further research efforts and continue public services.
