The former Gordmans store in northeast Cedar Rapids will be home to a new entertainment venue this fall.
Spare Time Entertainment is slated to open this fall at 4601 First Ave. SE, according to the Colchester, Vermont-based company’s website. Interior renovation work is already well under way at the site.
The facility will house a number of entertainment options, including a bowling alley, laser tag, escape rooms and arcade-style games, along with multiple restaurants and bars.
“Whether you’re looking for fun things to do, a place to play, the perfect date night, eat with family and friends, or hosting a children’s birthday party, we’ve got you,” the website for the new Cedar Rapids location indicates. “With bowling, games, food, drinks, and more, we can create a fun and memorable experience for kids, teens, and adults!”
The facility will also be equipped to host private events, and full-facility rentals will be available, along with various catering options, according to the website.
Gordmans, the site’s previous occupant, closed in late September 2020 after the company ceased operations nationwide.
