The South of 6 Iowa City Business District is hosting a series of grant application clinics for Johnson County small businesses during the month of April.

The clinics will guide individuals applying for the Underestimated Small Business Grant with tips on how to craft a strong application, an overview of grant qualifications, and support throughout the process.

The events are free to attend and will be held during the following dates:

  • April 10 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Dream City, 611 Southgate Ave. Iowa City
  • April 16 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Coralville Public Library, 1401 Fifth St.
  • April 24 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at North Liberty Library, 520 W. Cherry St.

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop, and childcare will be provided. The South of 6 notes that applications are evaluated by third-party reviewers, and clinic attendance will not guarantee grant funding.

Questions can be directed to South of 6’s executive director Maurice A. Davis at director@southof6.org.
