Physicians Clinic of Iowa/Rock Valley Physical Therapy hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house April 17 at their new clinic location at 917 Barrington Parkway, Ste. A in Marion.

Clinic manager Daniel Drey, PT, MSPT, John Hart, MD, and Kyle Pospischil, PT, DP, OCS/Corridor Regional Manager said while the site is new, it represents Rock Valley’s longtime commitment to improving the lives of clients in Marion and its surrounding communities.

Clinic growth and a continued desire to provide tremendous care to an important Iowa-based corridor necessitated the move, Rock Valley officials said in a release.

“We changed locations to allow us to ‘Make More Better Lives,’ to better serve our patient population with a larger facility, and all that comes with a new site,’’ Mr. Drey said prior to the open house ceremony. “We are extremely excited to be making this move in an amazing community that continues to grow and to do it with such tremendous partners in PCI.’’

Mr. Drey, who has been involved in physical therapy in Marion for 22 years, touted the services that will be available at the new Rock Valley Physical Therapy site, including comprehensive spine and orthopedic care, work comp, vestibular and temporomandibular joint care, and athletic training services.

Mr. Hart, a Cedar Rapids native, speaking on behalf of PCI, celebrated the move and the partnership with Rock Valley.

“As a group, at PCI, we feel very lucky to have such an outstanding group of therapists to trust our patients with,’’ Mr. Hart said. “We are all fortunate to take care of a special group of people here in Iowa. Every day in our clinics, I hear patients rave about their therapy experience. On a personal note, as surgeons, we rest easy with the quality of work Rock Valley does.’’

Mr. Pospischil lauded the efforts by PCI and Rock Valley Physical Therapy in making the new Marion site a reality.

“The expansion of our Marion clinic has been a long time coming and no small feat to accomplish,’’ Mr. Pospischil said. “In January 2020, Rock Valley joined into a partnership with PCI with the hopes of improving the health and quality of life of those we serve in our Eastern Iowa communities.’’

The new location allows Rock Valley and PCI to accomplish two major goals, Mr. Pospischil said.

“It assists our athletic trainers at Linn Mar High School in providing care to their student athletes and faculty members,’’ he said. “And as the Marion community continues to expand and grow, this location improves our accessibility to those patients that need our assistance.’’
