Relish the Region, a new tasting event celebrating the culinary and cocktail creativity of area restaurants, will hold its inaugural event Thursday, April 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a special VIP preview beginning at 5 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cedar Rapids.
Guests can expect an evening of sampling creative appetizers and signature drinks as participating restaurants compete for the titles of Best Bite and Best Cocktail. Attendees will vote for their favorites.
Two ticket options are available. The VIP Experience is $120 and includes early entry at 5 p.m., one signature cocktail ticket, two samples from each participating restaurant, two votes in the competition, and a commemorative gift. Only 100 VIP tickets are available.
General Admission is $80 and grants entry from 6 to 8 p.m., one sample from each restaurant, and one vote. A total of 300 General Admission tickets are available.
The evening will also feature a balloon drop celebration, offering a chance to win $500 for those who purchase a $20 balloon.
