ProCircular earns $250,000 for virtual cybersecurity escape room game

Coralville-based ProCircular, a cybersecurity and compliance firm, will be using $250,000 in funds from the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) to launch an interactive, virtual version of their table-top cybersecurity escape room game.

The funds come from an Innovation Acceleration Propel Fund loan for IP development and evaluation, market and competitive analysis, proof of concept work, product refinement, market planning and entry activities and key personnel. Award recommendations for these funds are made by the Technology Commercialization Committee to the IEDA Board for approval.

The IEDA’s approved awards for three established companies will create 163 jobs and result in more than $106 million in new capital investment for Iowa.

Five other startups also earned innovation funding, including Bettendorf-based Learning Couture. $25,000 will go toward creating an online Customized Learning Platform that supports professional learning for teachers.

ProCircular was recently named No. 1 Fastest Growing Company and CEO Aaron Warner was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Corridor Business Journal. To register for the Fastest Growing Company event, go here.Â
