What was your first job? Babysitting at age 13.
Best advice you ever received? Do your best, always, regardless of the task at hand, so as to live without regrets.
What do you consider your biggest break so far? The opportunity to re-imagine how we, as a non-profit, are able to provide our services in a manner that is mindful and respectful of our members.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you? English is not my native language, but has become my dominant language after Spanish.
What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why? The engagement and support of minority-owned businesses and small business owners. There are so many creative, intelligent entrepreneurs in our community that are not connected to the right resources to help them achieve their goals and make our business community a stronger and more diverse place. Many are overlooked for their grassroots efforts and could be opportunities for the rest of the business community to learn.
If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? International work supporting children and youth, specifically in the health, hunger and psychology realm.
What are your passions outside of the workplace? I love reading, coaching volleyball, and enjoying new food and restaurants in the area.
What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? We deeply care about the outcome of our work. We strive to succeed for ourselves but also for the larger community.
What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50? Be working at an international non-profit in program development or as the executive director.
