The Shores Event Center is under new ownership and has unveiled a new hospitality business model.

New owners Jacob Wittrock and Scott Greenman say Shores, housed in the 100-year-old Shores-Mueller building in the College District neighborhood in northeast Cedar Rapids, offers a restored industrial chic vibe replete with exposed brick and other period details.

“Planning an event, no matter the size or complexity, takes time and money,” Mr. Wittrock said in a release announcing the changes. “At Shores, we have people, relationships, and systems in place to ensure every event detail is attended to. It’s our brand promise to use our gifts and talents of hospitality to create memorable events where our special guests feel cherished through the experience and beyond.”

“We’re going to leave no stone unturned moving forward at Shores,” Mr. Greenman added. “Free Wi-Fi, ample parking, handicap access, full-service bar, catering partnerships, free set-up and tear-down, and so much more. We are looking forward to partnering with our community and neighbors to offer a comfortable safe space for people to gather and share their special moments.”

Shores can host weddings and receptions, graduation parties, corporate gatherings, business meetings, class reunions, baby showers and more. For more, go to shoreseventcenter.com
