A Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to be the newest addition in what is already becoming an intensive area of development in Coralville.
Coming soon to 3260 Redhawk Street, the new Chipotle will be next to Redhawk Dental and across the street from Foundry Food + Tap and Jersey Mike's Subs.
The rezoning plan, unanimously advanced at the May 23 Coralville City Council meeting, is for a 2,237-square-foot restaurant on 1.88 acres. It will have an outdoor patio, a bike rack and 30 parking stalls. Drive-thru ordering will not be accomodated.

City council will need to approve the plan two more times before the project can continue.
Redhawk Dental opened last May, while the street will soon welcome several new businesses including Barrel House, Pure Barre and Treadmill Heroes later this year.
Another multi-tenant retail building at 3220 Redhawk St. has space for several businesses, but the building did not have tenants yet, as of February.
Luxury apartments are under construction under the project name 965 Flats. 128 additional units are being built now as part of the second phase.
965 Flats is next to the highly anticipated UIHC North Liberty hospital. Construction for that project is expected to conclude in several years.
