The Nassif Community Cancer Center, in partnership with the head and neck surgeons at Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Ear, Nose and Throat, will host a free oral, head and neck cancer screening event.
Screenings will take place Monday, April 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Nassif Community Cancer Center, 202 Tenth St. SE, Ste. 285, in Cedar Rapids.
This event is free and open to the community, but registration is required. To register, call the Nassif Community Cancer Center at (319) 558-4876.
April is Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month. According to the 2025 Cancer in Iowa Report from the Iowa Cancer Registry, Iowa is tied for the highest incidence rate of oral, head and neck cancers in the country, and is projected to see 620 new cases this year.
