Alexandra Olsen has been promoted to Executive Editor of the Corridor Business Journal and the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal, both publications of Corridor Media Group. A Brazilian-American journalist who moved to the United States at age 8, Ms. Olsen brings a bicultural perspective and deep commitment to inclusive business storytelling to her expanded role.
She joined Corridor Media Group as digital editor in April 2022, was promoted to managing editor of the CBJ in December 2022, and rose to editor by December 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism from Columbia College Chicago and an associate’s degree from Black Hawk College, Moline.
Under her editorial leadership, the CBJ has earned multiple Alliance of Area Business Publishers awards and Iowa Newspaper Association awards. Ms. Olsen was also named a 2024 Forty Under 40 honoree.
