MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc., parent company of MidWestOne Bank, has announced that it has renamed a prominent property in downtown Iowa City the “Charles N. Funk Building.”

The property, 500 South Clinton St., formerly known as OnePlace, has been renamed to honor former president and CEO Charlie Funk who retired in 2022 after 22 years of executive leadership.

Mr. Funk served as a special advisor to the bank’s new CEO, Chip Reeves, through April 2023 and remains a member of the board of directors, according to a news release sent by the bank.
