John Deere Construction and Forestry recently presented the Onyx Circle Award to Martin Construction, which has a location in southwest Cedar Rapids.
The award honors top-performing John Deere dealerships throughout the United States and Canada, recognizing outstanding achievement in customer, product and service support.
“This accomplishment recognizes our employees who work together every day to support and take care of our customers,” Martin Equipment president DeLene Martin Bane said in a release. “Their willingness to go the extra mile for our customers is what makes our organization so special. For nearly 100 years, our family has been honored to serve the surrounding communities and work alongside such hardworking employees and customers. We’re committed to providing the same level of support for years to come.”
The Onyx Circle Award was developed by John Deere to recognize and commend North American dealers that go above and beyond for customers and employees. Since the award’s inception in 2011, Martin Equipment has received the Onyx Circle Award seven times.
“It’s admirable to see the focus and drive exemplified by Martin Equipment as the team remains close to our customers,” said Jason Daly, vice president of earthmoving sales, marketing and customer success at John Deere. “It takes a lot of work to successfully run a dealership. The team at Martin Equipment works directly with their customers to solve challenges, support critical infrastructure job sites and provide an experience second to none.”
Martin Equipment is a fourth-generation, family-owned John Deere Construction & Forestry dealer headquartered in Goodfield, Illinois, with nine locations across Iowa, Illinois and Missouri, including their location at 2900 Sixth St. SW in Cedar Rapids.
The company was established in 1926 with the opening of Sam F. Martin Equipment in Roanoke, Illinois. With historic developments in earthmoving and forestry equipment over time, a new era with tremendous potential for growth began, resulting in the formation of Martin Equipment of Illinois, Inc. in 1981 as an authorized John Deere Industrial dealership. Today, the company has nearly ten decades of experience and 200 employees overall.
