The Marion Public Library is partnering with Advantage Archives to offer a community shred event during January. The event is open to all members of the public and promotes the importance of shredding sensitive documents.

“We’re excited to offer this month-long event with Advantage Archives to library patrons and our greater community,” Patron Services Manager Bob Reynolds said in a news release. “Partnerships like this provide a safe, free, and accessible way to dispose of unwanted personal documents.”

Individuals can bring any unwanted, sensitive documents to the locked shred bin in the library’s media section on the main level. Documents can be dropped off anytime during library operating hours. To ensure capacity for all who would like to participate, individuals are limited to one box of documents per person, per day.
