A new restaurant is now in place to replace the longtime Butcher Block Steakhouse in northeast Cedar Rapids.

Kingston’s Steakhouse and Event Venue, owned by Jade Luter, opened to the public in late August in the Bowman Square development at 568 Boyson Rd. NE #100. Ms. Luter also owns Daisy’s Garage in the Fountains development in northeast Cedar Rapids.

Kingston’s Facebook page describes the restaurant as an “upscale destination offering steaks, New American entrees, wine, beer and cocktails while dining in spacious surrounds inside and out.”

The venue itself comprises 17,000 square feet and can accommodate more than 350 people, according to Kingston’s website. It can be divided into two rooms and includes two full bars. The space also features six full bathrooms, a dance floor and a private room with separate bathroom.

Two full on-site kitchens can accommodate a wide variety of food options, and event meals can be served plated or buffet style by on-site staff.

Offsite catering is also available.

The restaurant’s menu includes a variety of appetizers, steaks, pork, chicken, seafood, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and salads, along with a kids’ menu.

Restaurant hours are Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, call the restaurant at 363-8000 or go to kingstonssteakhouseia.com
