King’s Material and Lion Bridge Brewing launched a Special Edition Bridge Beer on Thursday, April 6, to support Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity.

King’s Material rolled the beer out at its annual event – Build It – a conference dedicated to building the education, knowledge, and network for their contractors, architects, and engineers. At the event, King’s Material gave their community the opportunity to vote for a non-profit to support. The building community chose the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity.

“At King’s Material, our passion is building communities,” said Pat Sauter, King’s Material vice president, in a news release.

The bridge that leads to Lion Bridge Brewing Company in Cedar Rapids was built with King’s Material. In addition, the iconic triangular concrete is a custom mold provided by King’s Material.

“We are honored to have been chosen by our fellow contractors,” Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Brittany Scanlon said in a statement.

“We are always excited to partner with other organizations in the community to further our mission to be a catalyst for conversation and community,” said Quinton McClain, Lion Bridge Brewing owner, said in a release.

King’s Material, Lion Bridge Brewing, and Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, invite the community to Lion Bridge Brewing from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 6. One dollar of every pint bought during these hours will be given to the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity. Further, $1 of every pint of the Special Edition Bridge Beer sold during the month of April will be given to the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity.
