The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is now accepting applications for Juvenile Justice and Youth Development programming grants for the FY26 to FY28 cycle.
Up to $350,000 in funding will be distributed to nonprofit organizations that provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive services for at-risk youth between the ages of 10 and 16.
The initiative aims to expand out-of-school opportunities, build protective factors for at-risk youth, and reduce the need for intensive intervention and out-of-home placements, a release stated.
Selected organizations will receive annual contracts beginning July 1, 2025, with the potential for two additional renewals, subject to funding availability and demonstrated progress on program goals.
Application materials and instructions are available at: www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/socialservices under RFPs and Applications or at www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov under Bids, Proposals and RFPs.
