Iowa State University Extension and Outreach–Linn County is relocating to a new and improved office space in the Kirkwood Community College Linn County Regional Center in Hiawatha.
The relocation will begin June 26 and continue through July 3. The office will be closed during the transition period. The Linn County ISU Extension and Outreach office at the new location will open July 5. Office phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
The new modern office space offers enhanced facilities with added space for programming and educational opportunities for community members. The location is accessible and conveniently located, allowing for greater collaboration and productivity with customers and partners.
“This move represents an exciting new chapter for ISU Extension and Outreach-Linn County,” said Hailee Sandberg, director of Linn County Extension and Outreach, in a release. “The Kirkwood Linn County Regional building will not only provide a better work environment for our employees, it will allow us to align with our strategic plan to better serve our customers and expand our partnerships and programming opportunities from our new location.”
Mindy Thornton, director of the Kirkwood Linn County Regional Center, said she is looking forward to the synergy that will result from the partnership, as it expands offerings, programs and engagement experiences.
“At Kirkwood, we’re always seeking opportunities for collaboration that provide community impact,” said Ms. Thornton in a release. “As we celebrate our 10th year in our Hiawatha location, the Kirkwood Linn County Regional Center continues to provide accessible, community-focused student learning for both credit and noncredit programming. The collocation of ISU Linn County Extension Services into our regional center is yet another example of the alignment of our shared commitment and high-quality programming for learners of all ages.”
ISU Extension and Outreach-Linn County helps Linn County residents engage in research, education, and extension experiences to address current and emerging real-life challenges.
