Iowa Donor Network served 1,604 donor families in 2025, with 124 organ donors and 1,308 tissue donors helping transform lives across the state and beyond, the organization announced in a news release.

The year’s donation activity resulted in 376 organs transplanted and 144 organs recovered for research.

The year also marked a leadership transition for the organization. Suzanne Conrad retired as CEO after decades of service, during which IDN grew into one of the nation’s leading organ procurement organizations. Philip Blumberg assumed the role of CEO in 2025 and brings a renewed focus on innovation, collaboration, and strengthening the mission.

“Iowa Donor Network’s success is built on the compassion and generosity of donors and their families,” said Phil Blumberg, CEO of IDN. “In their most difficult moments, they choose to give others the chance to live and heal. Their generosity is an inspiration, and we are deeply grateful to honor their loved ones and their legacy.”

IDN works with hospitals, transplant centers, EMS providers, medical examiners and healthcare partners statewide to ensure every opportunity for donation is realized.
