Iowa Conservative Energy Forum to hold Cedar Rapids dialogue on state’s energy future

    The Iowa Conservative Energy Forum will host its 2026 Iowa Conservative Energy Dialogue on Wednesday, June 24, at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids.

    The event, presented by NextEra Energy Resources, runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m. It will bring together state and local policymakers, legislative candidates, energy advocates, and industry experts for a full day of programming on Iowa’s evolving energy landscape.

    Scheduled participants include Senate Majority Leader Mike Klimesh, state legislators and legislative candidates, county supervisors and supervisor candidates, economic experts from Common Sense Institute, and representatives from the Iowa Conservative Energy Forum and Conservative Energy Network.

    Programming will include a presentation on the Duane Arnold Energy Center, discussions on renewable energy siting practices, and sessions examining the impact of data centers on Iowa’s energy future. The agenda will also address policies, technologies, and economic opportunities shaping the state’s energy landscape.
