Iowa City’s Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) is ramping up efforts to spark creativity and broaden public access to the arts with its 2025 Matching Grant fund program.

Open to visual, audio, or performance-based art projects within Iowa City, the program offers 50/50 matching grants ranging from $500 to $4,000. Eligible projects must be accessible to the public free of charge.

Applications are open now through March 14, with winners announced in April. All projects awarded funding must be completed by Dec. 31.

Details about the application process, scoring rubric, eligible expenses, and FAQs are available at www.icgov.org/PublicArt. The site also hosts an on-demand informational session, offering guidance on qualifications, requirements, and the timeline for submitting grant applications.
