Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) formally entered an agreement June 7 with Beckman Coulter Life Sciences to distribute Biomek NGeniuS Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Library Prep System.

NGS solutions help labs generate libraries more efficiently through reduced manual transfers, according to a press release.

“With automation becoming an enabler for life science research, the addition of the Biomek NGeniuS System…reinforces our commitment to supporting the researcher’s quest for consistency, reproducibility, labor cost reductions, and mitigation of sample cross contamination,” said Rajan Kapadia, vice president of global sales and marketing at Integrated DNA Technologies, in a statement.

Biomek’s NGS library prep system allows any batch size, from four to 24 samples, to be monitored remotely and is supposed to eliminate loading errors through optical analytics technology called Dynamic DeckOptix.

Customers can begin placing orders from IDT in the third quarter of 2022.

In March, IDT added Catalytic Data Science to its Align program, bolstering IDT’s roster of preferred sequencing providers working collectively to advance genomics research.
