Holmes Murphy releases 2025-2026 Community Impact Report, highlighting giving and volunteerism by employees

    WAUKEE, Iowa — Holmes Murphy,  one of the largest privately held insurance brokerage and risk management firms in the United States, announced the release of its 2025-2026 Community Impact Report, detailing a significant increase in philanthropic efforts, driven by the company’s more than 1,400 employees and the resources of the Holmes Murphy Foundation.

    “Over the past year, our 1,400+ Holmes Murphy employees united with a shared purpose: to strengthen our impact in the communities we call home,” said Dan Keough, Holmes Murphy Chairman and CEO. “Through the resources and opportunities offered by the Holmes Murphy Foundation, we embraced new ways to give back and make a meaningful difference.”

    Holmes Murphy has three locations across Iowa, with offices in Davenport, Des Moines and Waukee.

    Key impact statistics from 2025 include:

    • Volunteerism: Employees donated 54,058 volunteer hours and used 9,692 time off hours for service, marking a 125% increase in volunteerism over 2024. This effort contributed an estimated $1.8 million in value to philanthropic organizations.
    • Direct Financial Giving: The company’s Direct Giving Program contributed $1.79 million, and the Employee Match Program saw a 25% increase over 2024, reaching $99,258.
    • Nonprofit Support: Holmes Murphy supported 473 nonprofits throughout the year. The annual United Way Campaign set an all-time companywide record with more than $754,000 in donations.
    • Independence Week of Giving: The dedicated week of service supported 126 nonprofits, involved 1,165 volunteers in 55 group events, and accounted for more than 4,000 hours of volunteering.

    “Our commitment goes far beyond giving our time, talents, and resources.     The report highlighted also the continued growth of the company’s inclusive culture. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) saw a 36% increase in membership, with participation rates three times the Fortune 500 average, fostering connection and professional development.
