The Holiday Thieves Market is back and in person this year in a new location. After 50 years at the Iowa Memorial Union, this fine art show has moved to the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel and will be held Dec. 4-5.

Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 4 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 5.  Visit summeroftheARTS.org to learn more about this year’s participating artists.

There is no fee for attendees who will be able to shop 63 fine artists sharing their work in a wide variety of mediums including ceramics, drawing, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography and wood. Many of these artists have participated for 20 years, but this year’s show features 22 artists who are new to the event.

“The new location will not only allow easier access for our artists, but also for the public in general. Parking at the Hyatt Regency is convenient and reasonable at $1/hour. We hope the public enjoys the new location and we plan to expand the show next year,” said Summer of the Arts Executive Director Lisa Barnes.

Fewer artists have been accepted this year than in the past to allow for additional space between booths and social distancing opportunities for attendees. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the expo hall and attendees are encouraged, but not required, to wear masks while visiting the artist booths.
