Holiday Inn Express has opened its new location in Marion, developers announced this week.
The Holiday Inn Express Marion is located at 5993 Carlson Way, in the rapidly-growing East Town Crossing.
Developed by Hart Family Hotels, the new hotel features 93 guest rooms equipped with amenities such as high-speed internet, 55” flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and ergonomic workspaces.
The hotel also offers a range of guest services, including a complimentary hot breakfast each morning, a 24-hour fitness center, a heated indoor pool, a business center and a complimentary guest laundry.
“We believe our guests will experience a great stay along with enjoying the local options offered by our neighbors,” said Hart Family Hotels chief operating officer Cora Lahr. “Building the Holiday Inn Express in East Town Crossing is a great location and compliments a variety of restaurants and businesses that our guests will appreciate.”
The hotel is located minutes from downtown Marion and key attractions like the Lindale Mall, the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, and the Paramount Theatre. Guests traveling for youth sports will have close proximity to the popular Prospect Meadows ball complex.

Holiday Inn Express Marion will host an open house Wednesday, May 14 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. for tours of the property, along with offering limited-time promotional rates.
The Holiday Inn Express is the largest hotel in Marion.
The 20-acre East Town Crossing, which began development in 2017, includes a number of businesses, including a Pizza Ranch, Daisy’s Garage restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Kwik Star, Dupaco Credit Union, Pancheros, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Scooters and a MAC fitness center.
