His Hands Free Clinic, 1245 2nd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, is celebrating 30 years of service to Linn County.
His Hands Free Clinic provides medical, dental, chiropractic, women’s health, diabetes education, physical therapy, patient advocacy, durable medical equipment, spiritual care, prescription assistance and off-site optical to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured.
The clinic is inviting community members to attend the celebration on May 3, 11 a.m.- 12 p.m., and learn about the center’s journey, meet staff and board members, have some cake and hear about the center’s mission.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating this milestone,” said Executive Director Dawn Brouwers, in a release. “We couldn’t do this without the incredible community support. As we look back to the work we’ve done, we’re also excited to look forward to more growth and expanded hours.”
His Hands Free Clinic was created to address the lack of no cost medical care, and to deliver care with Christian compassion, according to the release.
the clinic served 200 patients in its first year of existence and has since served almost 40,000 people.
