The Iowa Heartlanders and Backpocket Brewing announced this week a partnership that designates Backpocket as the official pregame and postgame brewery of the Heartlanders.
As part of the agreement, Backpocket Brewing will offer a post-game drink discount to fans that attend Heartlanders home games, with further details to be announced. Additionally, the Heartlanders and Backpocket have teamed up to create a Mug Club; members of the Mug Club will receive one coupon for a free beer at Backpocket plus discounts to use on Backpocket products at Xtream Arena.
“As a locally owned business and neighbor to the Heartlanders in the Iowa River Landing, we are excited and proud to partner with an organization that will help support the local community as well as bring professional ice hockey to the Coralville area,” Managing Partner of Backpocket Brewing Aaron Vargas stated in a release.
“We are excited to work with Backpocket Brewing and create a partnership that will help draw Heartlanders fans to Backpocket before and after games at Xtream Arena,” Heartlanders President and CEO Brian McKenna stated in a release. “Backpocket is one of the most-recognizable names in Iowa and we’re fortunate to partner with their group on a number of promotions that will enhance the game-night experience in the Iowa River Landing.”
Backpocket Brewing will also present a monthly Heartlanders autograph session where fans are welcome to come by the brewery, meet Heartlanders players and get their autograph.
