As businesses navigate workforce shortages, shifting consumer trends, and an evolving economy, Greater Iowa City, Inc. (Greater IC) is bringing together business leaders to celebrate those who are making a lasting impact.
The event, A Toast to Business, will celebrate companies and individuals who are driving economic growth, investing in workforce development, and strengthening the local business community. Attendees will have the opportunity to network in a relaxed setting while recognizing businesses that have made a significant impact on talent retention, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Nominations are now open for A Toast to Business awards and community members, employees and customers are encouraged to submit nominations before the April 10 deadline.
Award categories include:
- Business Impact – recognizing businesses driving economic growth and long-term success. Awards falling under this category are Roots, Small Business, Spirit of Rural Prosperity, and Economic Growth Awards.
- Business Leadership – honoring organizations with strategic vision and inclusive teamwork. Awards include Unity Builder, Artisan Innovation Awards.
- Business Education and Partnerships – showcasing businesses supporting future talent
with the Trade Builder Award and Youth Engagement Award. - Greater IC Investor Awards – celebrating dedicated investors shaping the region’s future. Awards falling under this category are Ambassador Spirit, Investor of the Year, Emerging Investor of the Year, and Council Impact Awards.
