Grask Truck Group acquires Wichita-based Peterbilt truck dealer

Grask Truck Group — an Iowa-based Peterbilt truck dealer with locations in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Waterloo and Quincy, Illinois — has acquired Doonan Truck & Equipment of Wichita, effective Jan. 3.

The acquisition will bring together two family-owned dealerships and GTG Perterbilt will add stores in Wichita, Great Bend and Hays, Kansas. Grask Truck Group’s operations will nearly double in size.

Customers will notice “an increased product line and improved customer resources and convenience,” according to a press release.

The Grask family have been truck dealers for over 75 years beginning in Des Moines as a GMC Truck dealer. They expanded their operation in 1973 with the opening of Cedar Rapids Truck Center in Cedar Rapids, and became a Peterbilt Motors truck dealer in 1983 after acquiring Quad City Peterbilt in Davenport.

Grask Truck Group is an authorized PacLease dealer and offers truck lease and rental options. The company’s parts department sells proprietary truck parts. Service and body shops consist of factory trained mechanics and repair technicians, according to a press release.
