Eastern Iowa Adapted Sports Clinic planned March 29

UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is hosting its annual Adapted Sports Clinic at Kirkwood Community College.

The 13th Annual Eastern Iowa Adapted Sports Clinic will take place Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kirkwood’s Michael J. Gould Recreation Center, 6301 Kirkwood Blvd. SW in Cedar Rapids.

The program’s goal is to show individuals with physical and visual disabilities that participating in sports and living a healthy and active lifestyle can have a positive impact.

Participants will experience hands-on learning in cycling, soccer, tennis, boxing, archery, yoga, wheelchair basketball and more. Participants can interact with various adapted sports and recreational displays and speak with equipment experts.

The Adapted Sports Clinic is free and open to individuals of all ages. Family and friends of the athletes are welcome, and equipment is provided. Lunch will also be provided for attendees and their guests.

Registration is encouraged, but not required.
