Don Hummer Trucking has earned recognition as a 2026 TCA Elite Fleet Certified Carrier by the Truckload Carriers Association, marking the second consecutive year the Cedar Rapids-based company has received the distinction.
The TCA Elite Fleet Program recognizes North American truckload carriers that demonstrate excellence in driver experience, safety culture, operational performance and workplace quality. Now in its second year, the program was developed in partnership with the University of Denver’s Transportation & Supply Chain Institute. Carriers are evaluated across driver satisfaction, compensation and benefits, safety outcomes, operational efficiency and quality of life, with results validated through confidential surveys of company drivers and independent contractors.
Chris Hummer, president and CEO of Don Hummer Trucking, said the certification carries added weight because of how it is measured.
“Being named a TCA Elite Fleet for a second year in a row is meaningful,” Mr. Hummer said. “Because this program is built around confidential driver feedback, it gives us a direct line of sight to our professional drivers and confirms that our focus on safety, continuous improvement, and building a better trucking company is showing up in our daily work.”
Don Hummer Trucking joins a select group of carriers across the United States and Canada to achieve Elite Fleet certification for 2026. Certified carriers will be formally recognized during the TCA Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., with awards presented March 2.
Founded more than 70 years ago, Don Hummer Trucking provides dedicated and truckload freight transportation services at the local, regional and national levels.
