Through a new partnership with Buena Vista University, Crystal Group, Inc. is broadening educational benefits for employees and their eligible family members.
The partnership between Hiawatha-based Crystal Group and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake will strengthen both organizations as they strive to strengthen the communities and the people they serve, according to a release.
Under the collaboration, employees of Crystal Group, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, are eligible to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost per credit hour while enrolled in BVU’s online undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.
Partner grant funding also lowers the cost of education for students enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus.
“Continuing education is a big asset to the community and especially to our employee owners, so giving them opportunities to advance their education is very important to us,” Crystal Group brand communications manager Ellie Gretter said. “We’re always offering opportunities for growth, and offering educational benefits is a great way to do that.”
Crystal Group is a leading provider of high-performance, rugged computer solutions for defense, government, and industrial markets. The employee-owned company specializes in the design, customization, build, and testing of rugged servers, embedded servers, networking device displays, and data storage for high reliability in demanding and harsh environmental conditions.
“Being an employee-owned company, not only do we care for our employees, but we also care for their families,” said Crystal Group people and culture specialist Alyssa Thompson. “As a smaller company, we are all very close-knit, so supporting one another and each other’s families the best we can, especially by offering opportunities for continuing education at a discounted price, is very important to us.”
“Buena Vista University is thrilled to partner with Crystal Group, an organization invested in delivering meaningful innovation, reliable solutions, and exceptional customer service,” said BVU director of strategic partnerships Laura Todd. “We look forward to this collaboration and are eager to witness the positive impacts and opportunities it creates for individuals.”
