The Corridor Business Journal (CBJ) was honored with three awards at the statewide 2025 Iowa Newspaper Association (INA) Convention and Awards Ceremony on Feb. 6.

Judged by the Kansas Press Association, approximately 3,200 entries in dozens of categories were judged by class, based on circulation. The CBJ was a part of Class V as a digital member of the INA. Class V included newspapers with 3,751 and above circulation, as well as digital members.

The CBJ was awarded first place in Coverage of Business and its 20th anniversary magazine was awarded first place as Best Special Section.

“Corridor Business Journal decided to make a big deal of its 20th anniversary. It succeeded,” the judges wrote about the magazine. “A well-reported look at the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Corridor’s two decades of service to its communities. Outstanding!”

The CBJ’s Real Success with Nate Kaeding podcast was also awarded with second place in Best Podcast.

“Great production value and amazing storytelling,” the judges wrote. “Each episode told a unique story but I enjoyed how they all had an overall theme focusing on family businesses.”

This was the CBJ’s first year as a member of the INA, and first year submitting entries for its annual awards.
