North Liberty restaurant Copper Boar American Pub announced a giveaway event that will directly benefit the North Liberty Community Pantry for the upcoming holidays.

On Dec. 11, the Copper Boar, at 575 Cameron Way #C in North Liberty, will be giving away free pork tenderloin sandwiches with a side of fries to all attendees, with a one-time monetary donation to the NLCP. Cash, credit or debit cards will be accepted. Starting at 11 a.m. and running until supplies are exhausted, customers can choose between dine-in and carry-out.

“As a locally owned and operated business, we are proud to host this event to support the NLCP and our community during the most important time of the year. Monetary donations allow the Pantry to distribute funds to where it is needed most, and has the biggest impact during the holiday season and the coming winter months,” the Copper Boar press release stated.

The North Liberty Community Pantry is located at 89 N. Jones Boulevard and has its current biggest needs listed as financial donations, cereal and oatmeal, kid-friendly snacks, canned proteins, soups and stews, pasta and rice, diapers, toilet paper, winter coats and feminine hygiene products.

Brenneman Pork, Performance Food Service and the Supply Place at Lenoch and Cilek are donating food items for the event. The Copper Boar’s regular menu will be available to patrons during the giveaway.
