The public is invited to celebrate Iowa City’s eastside Towncrest businesses during Successful Living’s 25th anniversary and Rock the Block party.
The event will be held noon-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Towncrest to celebrate with the businesses that make up the Towncrest area, including Towncrest Drive, and Wade and William streets.
Bring your family and friends to take part in the activities or enjoy the opportunity to gather and appreciate local businesses. Iowa City Mayor Bruce Teague will be in attendance to make remarks at 1:30 p.m., highlighting the work of Successful Living during its 25th anniversary.
This family-friendly event will feature an art show, live music, food, a bouncy house, Pepe’s Ice Cream truck, Da Flava Unit food truck with jerk chicken, balloon animals, cotton candy, popcorn, yard games, caricature artist, and face painting.
This event is sponsored by the City of Iowa City, along with participating Towncrest area businesses, that will offer activities at their locations.
