Three clinical leaders from UnityPoint Health have been recognized as “Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) to Know” for 2025 by Becker’s Healthcare, a national industry publication. The annual list highlights notable CMOs based on editorial research and nominations.
Dustin Arnold, DO, CMO for UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids, was among those honored.
“I am extremely proud of all of our clinical leaders recognized,” said UnityPoint Health President and CEO Scott Kizer. “We have an amazing team of providers across our organization who go above and beyond every day, providing the care experience we want our own loved ones to receive.”
Dr. Arnold has been the CMO for UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids since 2012, after joining the organization in 2006 as medical director of the hospitalist program. In addition to his CMO responsibilities, he serves as associate medical director for hospital-based providers and holds leadership roles outside the organization, including as president of the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association and vice chair of the Linn County Board of Health. Dr. Arnold’s focus includes advancing clinical operations and enhancing patient satisfaction.
The other two recognized UnityPoint leaders were Gregory Johnson, MD, UnityPoint Health CMO from Washington, and Pam Wetzel, MD, CMO for UnityPoint Health – Meriter, based in Wisconsin.
