The vital role products and services provided by CarePro Health Services play in the lives of its customers are never forgotten by its employee-owners, one of the reasons it was voted Best Home Health Care Agency in 2018.
CarePro provides in-home dialysis, pharmacy services and in-home products and supplies to customers with medical conditions or physical limitations, such as CPAP machines, safety equipment and hospital beds.
“We just want to make their life easier, is the goal,” Operations Director Danielle Schwiebert said.
Every new respiratory customer is surveyed about their experience, and customers who come to the company’s lo-cations in Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Davenport and Clinton are surveyed at random. Service providers who refer customers are surveyed annually, and CarePro monitors consumer websites such as Google Reviews and Yelp for feed-back. The surveys ask customers if they would recommend CarePro, and the percentage who say yes is typically in the high 90-percent range, Ms. Schwiebert said.
CarePro is organized as an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) company. As an ESOP, Ms. Schwiebert said the company has less turnover and employee-owners who understand the importance of customer satisfaction to its financial success. CarePro was recently named ESOP Company of the Year by the Iowa-Nebraska Chapter of the ESOP Association.
