In a move that underscores the growing consolidation within the engineering industry, Axiom Consultants, an Iowa-based engineering firm, has officially merged with Ruekert & Mielke (R/M), a prominent player in Wisconsin’s municipal and agricultural engineering sectors.

The merger will offer numerous opportunities and benefits for employees and clients alike, according to representatives from both firms.

Joining R/M means employees at the Iowa-based firm have now become part of an employee-owned company. This merger not only integrates the two engineering organizations, but also opens up new avenues for career development and professional advancement.

“We are thrilled to join the R/M family,” said Rob Decker, co-owner of Axiom. “This move provides our employees with exciting new prospects and an employee-owned culture that directly aligns their success with the company’s success.”

Additionally, clients of both firms will benefit from a broader range of services offered under one cohesive team, a release stated.

“I’m excited about the benefits this new chapter brings to our clients. Combining our building services expertise with R/M’s municipal engineering and environmental experience offers more comprehensive solutions and a deeper team of experts to solve their problems,” said Axiom’s co-owner, Brian Boelk.

“We are thrilled to welcome Axiom to our employee-owner family,” said Stan Sugden, president and CEO of R/M. “Their reputation, expertise, and Midwest culture complement us well. Together, we are stronger, expanding our geographic reach and the industries we serve, while offering solutions to a broader client base. We look forward to the incredible accomplishments we will achieve as one unified team.”
