SBA approves $22.4 million in Iowa small business loans in April

The U.S. Small Business Administration approved 45 loans totaling more than $22.4 million to Iowa businesses in April 2025, according to newly released monthly figures.

The financing was made available through the SBA’s two largest lending programs and came from participating lenders across the state.

The SBA’s 7(a) and 504 programs helped capitalize 21 new and 24 existing businesses in Iowa last month, according to a release.

Together, the recipients reported creating 110 new jobs and retaining 260 existing positions as a result of the financing.

According to the SBA report, four Corridor businesses received loans under the program:

  • Jocelyn Taylor Bridal & Prom LLC of North Liberty received $304,900, retaining three positions and creation one.
  • Knutson Metals of Cedar Rapids received $150,000, retaining two positions.
  • Master Certified Mobile RV Services of Cedar Rapids received $5,500, supporting one existing position.
  • Operation Imprint LLP of Ainsworth received $15,000 and created two new positions.
