Veridian Credit Union has received two awards from the Des Moines Register for workplace and leadership as part of the newspaper’s Top Workplaces program.
Veridian was recently named a Top Iowa Workplace in the large employer category for employee feedback collected through the Energage Workplace Survey. In that survey, Veridian employees also expressed the highest level of agreement among all large employers with the question, “I have confidence in the leader of this company,” awarding Veridian President and CEO Renee Christoffer the Top Workplaces Leadership Award.
“Knowing that these awards are founded in feedback gathered directly from our employees is what makes them so meaningful,” Veridian Chief People Officer Shawna Matz said in a release. “Veridian is a great place because of our people. Being recognized for that is one of the top honors we could receive.”
Top Workplaces are determined by quantitative employee feedback collected through the Energage Workplace Survey. In 2024, a total of 132 Iowa employers are being recognized as Top Iowa Workplaces in three size categories, including employers with (1) 35-149 employees, (2) 150-499 employees and (3) 500+ employees.
Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, is a financial cooperative owned by the 350,000 members who use its products and services. The credit union offers a full range of business and consumer financial services, with more than 1,000 employees and 32 branches across Iowa, eastern Nebraska and the Twin Cities metro area.
