Cheesy Noodle Macs & Snacks, a long-anticipated restaurant, is set to open at the Westdale Town Center Monday, Aug. 26.
Todd Nelson, executive vice president of Frew Development Group, said Cheesy Noodle Macs & Snacks will open at 3998 Westdale Parkway SW Ste. 100, a space vacated by Great Harvest Bread Company in March.
The restaurant will celebrate its grand opening from 3 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26.
“Cheesy Noodle Macs & Snacks will be a great addition to Westdale,” Mr. Nelson said. “The ownership and staff have a solid track record of restaurant experience, offer a great product and service, and a variety of exciting flavors.”
Frew Development Group’s redevelopment of Westdale is nearing completion, with only a few spaces remaining, Mr. Nelson said. Westdale is currently constructing 148 market-rate apartment units in three buildings, which will add to Westdale’s 2024 property tax assessed value of $76 million, up from $4.3 million when Frew Development began the Westdale project project.
In addition to Cheesy Noodle Macs and Snacks, current tenants include major national retailers (Michaels, JC Penney, Burlington, PetSmart and Ross Dress for Less), hospitality (Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton), financial services (US Bank, First Federal Credit Union, Veridian Credit Union and GreenState Credit Union), medical (U.S. Veteran’s Administration Medical Center and Physiotherapy Associates), restaurants (Crab House, Napoli’s, Chick-fil-A, Freddy’s Steakhouse, Domino’s Pizza, Caribou Coffee, Einstein Bros. Bagel, and the recently opened Boulder Tap House), and 33 existing market-rate apartments (Parkway West Tower I).
Frew Development Group has served as the Westdale Town Center’s developer since 2013, under an agreement with the city of Cedar Rapids.
