UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Pharmacy is now offering free pharmaceutical delivery and mail service to residents impacted by next week’s closure of the Hy-Vee on First Avenue.
According to a press release from St. Luke’s Hospital, many residents in Cedar Rapids’ Wellington Heights and Mound View neighborhoods have transportation concerns, and will be strained by the Hy-Vee’s closure on June 23.
To offset the strain, St. Luke’s Pharmacy, located in the lower level of St. Luke’s Hospital, now offers free delivery within a 20-mile radius of St. Luke’s.
The release notes that St. Luke’s Pharmacy is within walking distance of Wellington Heights and Mound View and is on a public bus route. Patients must be home at the time of delivery, and controlled substances are not included.
St. Luke’s Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pharmacy can be reached at (319) 369-7528.
